What Are The Best Web Hosts for my website?
What are the best webhosts for my website / bog? Web hosts are plentiful across the internet, both cheap and cheerful to higher priced managed hosting. Sometime you get what you pay for and with web hosting this is usually the case. What is the best web host for my website? Well that all depends on what you intend to do.
What is it you need from your web hosting?
Obviously or not it’s to host your website but do you need all the bells and whistles so to speak, lets have a look. If you a looking for web hosting you presumably already have your website or blog planned out. Whether the project is big or small you should look at a host that can scale with you.
Web hosting is basically the server on which your website will be based (computer) and it’s connection the internet. The more system resources you get the more the price increases. Ie 4gb of ram instead of 2gb, more bandwith, the higher the better achievable speed.
If it is only a small, say 5 page website you could look at a free web host. There are a few about and for the basics they work well enough. If you wish to grow your website or blog in the future you can usually upgrade to paid hosting. I personally went down the former route when starting out, its better to choose the host you want rather than what you are stuck with. Its possible the change hosts but can become a pain on larger websites, it can be a steep learning curve or an out of pocket experience.
Free web hosting
Web hosts will have various packages that they offer to try and suit most budgets. You can usually upgrade to the next when you need too. Paid hosting is a far better option than free for anything other than, honestly, messing around. If you are new to publishing content and would like to try a few things it’s a great (and free) option, if you like it you can always upgrade to paid.
X10 Web Hosting
Free hosting can be found HERE. My first ever published website was via X10 hosting. It was fine for what I needed and came with a free web domain, if a little lengthy. X10 hosting uses a standard control panel like most other web hosts. It shortens the learning curve if you transition to another host in future. However they also offer some decent web hosting packages, upgrading is really simple and only takes a few clicks.
Paid Web Hosting
Paid Web hosting can be pretty cheap when factoring in some of the introductory offers web host use. If you have a plan and a bit of experience then this is the option for you. Just watch out for huge hikes in the price following the initial offer period.
1&1 Ionos
Paid web hosting with 1&1Ionos can be found HERE. 1&1 are great web hosts, they offer some of the best server setups in the business. The speed and server uptime are key when it comes to web hosting, 1&1 have both of these nailed down.
1&1 have the ability to scale with you as your website or blog grows. 1 click free installs for WordPress, Joomla and more, plus it’s safe and secure.
Another great thing about 1&1 is it does not use control panel for it’s setup. Boom, no learning curve. The software it uses instead is very user friendly so you can be publishing content in no time.
1&1 also have some other great packages you can use with your web hosting too.
